I discovered yoga and meditation in 1993 out of my need to be a happier person. I was desperate to get out from under feeling depressed, anxious, and out of control with my relationship to food and my own body.
My desire to find happiness led me to learning more about the mind/body connection. On this journey, I found an opportunity as a work study student at a residential ashram(spiritual community), and while living in the community, I underwent a rigorous teacher training in yoga, starting in 1997.
In 2004 I became the owner of the Whole Yoga Center in Denver. For over 18 years. I led numerous yoga teacher trainings, yoga therapy workshops, mindful eating classes, yoga philosophy classes, and daylong meditation retreats in addition to weekly yoga classes until I closed the studio in August of 2023.
My calling in life is in the healing arts. I’m a trained body worker with an emphasis on somatic integration, and I’ve earned multiple certifications in Ayurvedic and yogic lifestyle studies, mindful and intuitive eating, massage therapy and as of recently, qigong.
I’m an *EDIT trained Eating Disorder Recovery Coach, and I lead embodiment and mindfulness groups at Pathlight, a private hospital catering to people with eating disorders and mood and anxiety disorders.
If you’re someone who’s recently come out of a residential or partial hospital program for an eating disorder or mood and anxiety disorder, and you know you need support in your day to day life, I invite you to schedule a FREE discovery call with me.
